Currently my hair is in a short angled bob...the same haircut everyone else has. I've had this hairstyle off and on for about four years and I feel like I need to stick with a change. Here's some looks I've had over the years they range from very short to long (well, the longest I've ever had anyways.)
PIXIE CUTS
SHORT/MEDIUM LENGTH
LONG HAIR
QUESTION:
Which do you think looks prettiest on me?
Should I grow it out again?
Keep it the current length but a different style (need ideas!) or...
go really short (even though my husband would die if I cut it like that again...)?
Def short medium to long! You look wonderful with any style but I think with a beautiful neck like yous short/medium is perfect
ReplyDeleteI love the medium length and long length! Your hair looks gorgeous (though it's only a side view) in the picture of you with the giraffe. My hubs is the same way - long long long! I don't think I've ever had my hair above my shoulders, except when I was really young. Long is good b/c of easy up-do's when your hair is a disaster or your lazy (read: me everyday). But maybe that's easy for shorter hair too? Again, never had it, so I don't know!!
ReplyDeleteJenna- Thanks!
ReplyDeleteAmy- Not easy to put up...which it part of my current dilemma.
So first of all, I believe you are one of those lucky people who looks gorgeous with all kinds of styles (short/medium/long)! Seriously :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure how helpful I am going to be, but at first I was like," I'm DEFINITELY going to recommend short." -- that first picture is so cute! ...And then I scrolled further down & saw the giraffe picture... beautiful. I love long hair on you!
...I'm actually currently debating my hair length, too. Mine is currently (read: it has been for probably 90% of my life with hair...) medium length... but I'm considering going long in honor of marathon training. (My) Medium length hair can be a pain in the patoot... it bugs me to have little bits come out of the ponytail in the middle of a run....
Keep us updated on your decision!
I I must say I love the medium-long length on you. The last pic of you is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteMedium to Long DEFINATLY! I love it long! :)
ReplyDeleteAmy- I totally understand. When I put my short hair up in a hair band and "pony tail" my hair falls into this mushroom cloud when I run. ICKY!
ReplyDeleteMalin and Laura- Thanks for the help you two! I see where this is going. I have a feeling I'll be posting many more "I HATE MY HAIR" posts as I struggle to grow it out. The inbetween stage is the worst!
Haha- I can't believe you put in that first pic- I look like a crazy lady!! I get the feeling/itch to chop it all off- I currently have that same stirring. Maybe it's a summer thing? Well, anyways, I agree with Amy, you're gorgeous no matter what length you go, but I'm somewhat fond of medium to long. I'm leaning more long on this one... :)
ReplyDeleteYou look great in so many different cuts! How about a lob? a long bob?
ReplyDeleteYou'd look lovely in any haircut. But I love the way you have it styled in the "long hair" (that's short hair to me!) pictures!
ReplyDeleteI vote Long, it looks great! You're lucky that it's not too thick because thick, long hair is the worst... that's why I'm sticking with short, lol. BUT... I have a mushroom when I put my hair back to work out. Can't do a pony, but I use stretchy headbands and the hair just falls over the band into a lovely mushroom-like shape. I may need to reconsider or my future training clients will judge me for poor hair... lol :-D
ReplyDeleteYou have the perfect face shape for just about any haircut, you lucky, lucky girl! But my favorite is probably medium to long on you. I think it's more versatile and very flattering to your cheekbones. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I love you with long hair! You pull off short hair very well, but the long looks so pretty on you, Hannah! Plus, you have more options for hairstyles.
ReplyDeleteBecky- Haha. Don't hate me. I love that picture though. It totally captures our relationship at that time. Thanks for the advice.
ReplyDeleteTamara- A lob, huh? I shall take this into consideration...
Emily- Haha. I know. That "long hair" is the longest I've ever had it in my life, believe it or not!
Caitlin- I, too, sport the mushroom hair. Not a flattering look. Your hair always looks cute though...honest!
Elizabeth- Thanks, and thanks for your help!
Jillian- Yeah, I'm all about the more options part of it. Long hair here I come!
ohmygoodness! you + pixie = gorgeous!! you're so brave to do that. i sometimes want to, but i don't have the (pardon my french) balls to do it. i like your hair at all stages. it's not fair, really. but i'm loving the giraffe kissy picture. those layers and curls look amazing.
ReplyDeleteHonest truth? I don't like the pixie. Whoops. So I would go with the medium or longer version. You can grow it out now a bit more, and then maybe for winter cut it up to medium, or the other way around, but you have gorgeous hair and look cute with all cuts. Just no pixie. Not that it doesn't look good on you, just think it is too short.
ReplyDeletexoxo
Selma- You get an A+ for honesty. There's nothing I appreciate more than a friend that can tell it like it is! :) Thanks girl!
ReplyDeleteBrissa- Yes, it does take balls. Not to cut it, but to grow it out when you are done with the look. I looked like a boy with helmet hair for a good 6 months. It was awful.
ReplyDeleteI like the giraffe kiss hair best! And I think that I have a cut and color idea that would be perfect for you:

I can't even tell you how I dream of having that hair!
Leslie- OOOooo that is nice! Looks like she has about the same thickness of hair I do, which makes things easy. It's always hard to pull of a look when you know the only reason someone is pulling it off is because they have thick wavy hair or something.
ReplyDeleteYou sure can rock a pixie cut, lady! But your hair looks extra fabulous in the funny giraffe photo, so I vote long!
ReplyDeleteFunny, because today I asked for hair advice too! I think you look great with all styles but I have a bias towards long hair. I'm sorry I'm not of more help, hah!
ReplyDeleteI like you best with medium length :)
ReplyDeleteI like the medium-long hair. I might have a bias for long hair though. You're lucky you can pull off all 3 lengths though!
ReplyDeleteSincerely,
Sabrina
medium to long.
ReplyDeleteyou look great with all the styles, but I personally prefer medium to long from your pictures, I'm a fan of long hair myself so perhaps thats why I'm a bit bias!
ReplyDeletei really love it long, but thena gain, i'm partial to long hair because mine frizzes incredibly in humidity or rain so having it short is not an option for me, but oyu look fabulous all three ways, you have great bone structure so you can pull off a lot!
ReplyDeleteI love your hair long, but you can pull off any look!
ReplyDeleteI really like long the best but you look really good with the short/medium hair(lucky!)

hehe It's so funny that your longest hair is the shortest I've ever cut my hair :D You look pretty in all of the pics but I love the the long hair on you!
ReplyDeleteyou are lucky you look great every way. I personally like it long though!
ReplyDeleteI know what is like to be sick your hair and not know what to do-- I feel the exact same way right now!
Dude you look good in all lengths. Sheesh. I kind of like the pixie cute frankly. But I like long for me...so hard to choose! :)
ReplyDeleteThey all look great but I'm partial to long hair. I think it's a Southern thing. :)
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous that you're hair looks great at every length! You have one of those faces that can just pull it all off! I think I like medium and or long the best though :)
ReplyDeleteWow, you are one of the few people I know where they all look good on! But I really like the med length, at your shoulders. Thought that one looked really cute :)
ReplyDeleteI've done so many different things with me hair! It's the only thing about me that's constantly changing. I love your hair in the first photo of the short/medium section. Going short/medium would be less frustrating to grow out - you'll be able to tie you hair up whilst running and still do it up when you go out...and if you want it'll be easier to then progress to the long length. So I vote short/medium it looks wonderful on you :) And I also love reading all the advice you got here!
ReplyDeleteGeez guys, thanks for all your sweet comments and advice! Looks like I'm gonna be growing my hair out (at a snails pace) for the next 9 months to a year (because that's about how long it will take).
ReplyDeleteBut that means I need you guys! When I do a post declaring my disgust with my long beautiful locks you have to comment saying "NOO! Don't do it, it looks great! Just give it a week and see what you think.."
OK? Deal!
You actually wear all the different lengths really well! But I like it long best!
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely a fan of the medium look on you! I say go for it...we're all here to support and encourage you!!
ReplyDeleteI'd go for hairstyle number three, although you look lovely on all of them.
ReplyDeleteI vote long. But it takes forever to grow! I'm still kicking myself for cutting mine shorter a couple of years ago. Good luck on the decision!
ReplyDeleteyour blog is very cool¡¡¡ kisses from Mexico :)
ReplyDeleteYou totally work the medium length hair!
ReplyDeleteI like the 2nd pixie cut best!
ReplyDeleteGosh! I now see your dilemma.. you look cute no matter what, ha!
ReplyDeleteI especially love the first photo, third photo, and last two photos. But I'm always bias with long hair. Good luck & show us when you take the cut (or... not, whichever style you choose)!
The giraffe kiss pic is my choice ~ but the pixie is a very close second. Perhaps add a few vibrant highlights to perk the current look up a bit?!?
ReplyDeleteyou look fabulous in all of these pictures! I especially love the pixie cut:) You pull it off stunningly!
ReplyDeleteOh, hair is a TOUGH one. Well, you look fabulous in all three styles (I'm so jealous you can pull off short hair!), but I think I like the length in the middle best. It's cute, sassy and can still be work in a ponytail :)
ReplyDeleteI'm new to your blog but can't help chiming in! You look stunning in that last photo with the long hair. But the medium hair looks good too - in fact, you remind me a bit of Claire Danes in that first foto (where your eyes are closed)!
ReplyDeleteRonnie xo
love love love the pixie on you! You have such a fresh, beautiful face that you can really pull it off!
ReplyDeletespeaking of hair... i love the length of your eyelashes!
ReplyDeleteanyways... don't ask me. i never know.
i'm growing my hair out longer than it's ever been... just cause.
I love the long, but I aldo really like the pixie. So few people can pull off the pixie, and you've got the face for it. The world is your (hair) oyster!
ReplyDeleteEvery one of those hairstyles look beautiful on you! I completely understand the hair dilemma as I am constantly changing my hair. I would have to say, I love the medium length although the short looks fabulous too! Good thing for you is, you have the face shape that fits any style :)
ReplyDeleteSo fun to see everyones opinion :)
ReplyDeleteI like your hair anyway you wear it. You've got one of those pretty faces that can pull off any hairstyle. I can totally understand wanting a change though. I've had super long hair now for a couple of years, and have been debating about the big chop off...
i vote not to kill John. . . i especially like the bird on the top of your head in the last picture. can he come with any length?
