It's a cute little townhouse on the southeast side of town with stairs. John and I are kind of giddy about having stairs...I feel like only grown-ups get to have stairs and we feel, in no way, grown-up.
Let's see, what else does it have? It's in mint condition, has wood laminate and tile floors, corian counters, new appliances, high ceilings, and a garbage disposal (praise the Lord!). Here's a few more pics and you can view all of them here.
We're really excited about it. Our applications are in, and pending their sure approval we will be moving in October 8th!
Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers on this matter, guys! Everything worked out and we couldn't be happier about the place or the price. :)
Question of the Day:
What do you look for when house shopping?
Any must-haves?
Lovely!! SO happy about your stair and hopefully your car tires will thanks you ;) We just built a house a year or so ago...a long process...next time I might just buy move in ready...lol
ReplyDeletethis is just wonderful! its so lovely with i bright new house!
ReplyDeletei live in the middle of norwegian nowhere in a house from the sevetnies that needs... oh! gosh! i can`t even start... but its next to a forrest and that alone is enough for me ; )
Congrats on finding a place! I like how the kitchen has an opening to the living area - I always look for that first! I don't like being holed up in the kitchen and missing out on what's going on in the rest of the house! I hope everything continues to go smoothly so you can move in!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! We started looking for a home in April and found a home in June. I know what a huge step that is for you. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteThe place looks lovely. I looked at the other photos saw that you have a screened porch. That's a great thing to have so you can sit outside on a cool afternoon and not worry about bugs.
I know what you mean about stairs. LOL
Congrats on finding a place! It looks great! A must have for me is nice bathrooms, I hate when a bathroom has been cleaned and still looks disgusting. I would prefer bigger living areas and I love small details.
ReplyDeleteHow great it is!! Love it, I definitely understand the stairs requirement, would love to have some too!
ReplyDeleteYou are moving quickly, you must be both exciting.........
In Dublin it's quite hard to find a decent and not too expensive place so we are not too difficult and take what looks at least isolated and central.
Have a great day and Congrats on the House!!!
Congratulations! It looks fabulous.Hope you have many happy years there!!

How exciting!! I'm so glad y'all found a place! Good luck with the move!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! That is so exciting and it looks gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, it looks great! When we went house-shopping, the most important things were a nice kitchen, walk in closet, and nice floors. Everything else could be changed.
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!! Super exciting and will be a fun place to decorate! :)
ReplyDeleteOh yay! It looks lovely. I love those light fixtures.
ReplyDeleteI think for me, it is important to feel right when you walk into the place.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! This is so cute! My husband and I were looking for a "liveable fixer-upper". Something that was clean and safe, but just needed some updated over time : ) Comgrats!
ReplyDeleteOh wow!! It's GORGEOUS! I think we MAY just have found a flat in London. It's pretty small but is in a newer building and in a great neighbourhood. Congrats to you!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!!! What a great place!
ReplyDeleteMy boyfriend and I are looking for a place, it's a lot of work! I am looking for wood floors, lot's of great window light, white cabinets, and a great view in the backyard! I'm kinda picky.. and that's probably why it's taking forever! ♥
ReplyDeleteCongrats! I've been thinking about what I want in my next place and the verdict at this point? Safe and affordable. That is all I care about, ha! One would think that finding that combo would be easy, but it's not so much...
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you both! How exciting! Will you be renting or buying the house? It looks beautiful, I can't wait to see what you do with it. I look for wooden floors, huge windows and lots of light :)
ReplyDeleteVanisha- We will be renting. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a gorgeous home!!You guys are so lucky!!! :] Can't wait to see pictures of it decorated! :] Congrats!
ReplyDeletei think it was a show on hgtv where another young couple was like, "i never felt like an adult until i owned a place that had stairs"
ReplyDeletefun, well our lease is up in december, when we look for a new place it'll be somewhere less than $500/WEEK in the city, ha, love sydney
Yay! Congrats! Haha I know what you mean about having stairs!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Looks like a nice, cozy place.
ReplyDeleteLove it girl! Congrats! There are so many factors to look into when buying a place or even renting one...I'm picky. ;) Then again, it also depends on where in the world you are!! :) Congrats again. YAY.
ReplyDeleteYay, so glad you found a place! My new must have in a house is a garage - I never had one growing up but am a firm believer that I will never scrape my car window at 7am again!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finding a new place!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new condo my dear!! Crossing my fingers everything works out for you. I dream of a condo or stairs one day, living in manhattan it is definitely limited. Yay for stairs!!
ReplyDeletethe place looks amazing even without furniture!

Such a lovely place! I'm so happy for you! James and I are house-hunting too but it's been tough. My list of must have is probably too long lol but definitely a nice kitchen and a dining room...eating together is important. Stairs and a nice garden would be ideal :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Hannah - I didn't even realise you had to move but this place sure looks lovely. Very homely too.

Congrats!! My first townhouse we wanted it to be newer and modern, and that's what we got - and paid for. Very pricey for our location and having no basement and not that much storage. The place we are in now is $100 less a month and has a basement and what feels like a larger kitchen b/c it's more open. It may not be modern, but it's a great location and price and enough room for all our crap. I just wish we could do more to it (like painting, nails in the walls, etc)
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! Looks fantastic.
ReplyDeleteaw this place is so neat!
ReplyDeletei would love to get a townhouse or a condo so i wont have to deal with the garden, lawn mowing or snow shoveling lol.
It's fabulous! I love the little breakfast counter! Shopping for a flat/house can be sooo stressful! We saw about 20 places before we found our rental house. You have to compromise on space and gardens in London but I won't move into a place that doesn't have a bath (half of the places we saw only had a small shower)!
ReplyDeleteOh I am so happy for you & John! What a lovely home :) ...And I definitely agree with you: having stairs does feel very grown up! My #1 want when we were apartment/house hunting was to find a place with lots of natural light. I was willing to compromise on pretty much everything else... but I wanted a lot of windows!
