Gname My Gnome

It's time for the most radically rad contest ever. Meet my gnome. I got him as a birthday gift from my mom as a lovely (and much needed) addition to my patio garden. I know he looks a little like a wizard, but I can assure you that his hat, and his stature both confirm his identity as a gnome.

To enter this contest you must be a follower (JUST KIDDING! But if you aren't a follower of this blog why not start now?) and comment below with what you think I should name him. I will choose my 3 favorite names and then choose randomly which one I shall bestow.

What do you win? The satisfaction and joy that comes with knowing your name was picked to name the little guy that will grace my garden from dawn to dusk.

Get creative! And remember, the surest way to win my heart is by making me laugh till I cry.  :)

  1. Definitely a Bernard. Just look at his little gold buckle, shiny boots and hands-on-the-hips stance = Bernard. Plain as day.

  10. This is way too fun; he looks a little Greek, to me, and wizzardy that is true...so I'd go with something like Sir Gnomykyflorydacotis And yes I combined two words and sort of put something in the middle of this. Haha! ;)
And if you just look at his face, he kinda looks like a Santa, too. Though that name is already taken so nope! ;)

How bout naming him after one of your favorite places to visit? Fez the Garden Gnome? Eh? It could work!

  15. I LOVE gnomes! And I really like Bon Bon's answer of Gneal. Anything Gn for that matter that's supposed to just be an N. Gnoah? Gnathan? Gnebecenezer?

  17. The skirt and color pattern on his shirt makes me think he's playing for the 'other' team (and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that!)

He looks like a Robert, but pronounced with a heavy French accent ;)

  20. I LOVE GNOMES!!! (obvs just check out my header, lol). Ok, let's see, for some reason Alfred is popping into my head. Alfred for his formal times, and Alfie when he likes to party! And then, when he gets old, he will just go by Al.

  22. OK, he seriously is too cute! I like Goliath too. Is he from Jim Shore?

  23. He looks very cheery and like he comes from way up North, so maybe a Norse name like Alberich. Seriously I'm hopless at naming things, but your gnome does remind me of an episode of Corner Gas where two of the shows protagonists, husband and wife, end up with two gnomes that are the spitting image of them:) I'm not sure if you've ever seen this show, but I hope the little guy doesn't resemble anyone you know otherwise hilarity would ensue!

I hope someone here suggests the perfect name. Happy weekend Hannaah! xx

  25. He's definitely the best looking gnome I've ever come across and he knows it! Therefore, I think Karl (as in Lagerfeld) is perfect - he has the same "body language" hahaha! Thanks so much for your lovely comment on my blog. I'm happy to become one of your followers, Love from London xo
