Did you all have a good holiday weekend? I tell you, nothing feels better than getting paid to sit on your duff for 8 hours. Well, an 8 hour massage might feel better...
We enjoyed our weekend and had company (my mom and step-dad) over for part of it. We had a great time talking and knocking around town. We're not big "July 4th people." We don't buy fire works and I try to stay away from looking like a giant American flag. I think our desserts were as patriotic as it got...and that was because lately I've been cooking up a storm with raspberries and blueberries.
Here's our weekend in pictures...
John's homemade raspberry/blueberry muffins for Saturday morning. YUM! |
Stray cats enjoying our patio. |
My first try at a homemade berry tart. I didn't like it, but everyone else did... |
My mom and David at Bosphorus (our favorite Turkish place) in Winter Park, FL. |
Turkish Coffee. |
My new favorite wine. I had at least 4 glasses this weekend (which is a lot for me.) |
